Before we get to the open houses in Hyde Park Massachusetts for this week, let’s do a quick recap.  There are now 33 homes on the market in Hyde Park (not including the 14 homes that have already accepted offers from buyers).  Remember the two multifamily properties highlighted last week? One was 83 Wood Avenue (MLS#71580797), and the other was 108 Washington St (MLS#71581894).  The sellers of both homes have accepted offers on their properties and, if all goes well from this point, will soon move their homes into the sold category.  We can’t say it enough-if you’re in the market, you’ve gotta get out there and make it happen because many homes sell quickly.

August 2013 home sales in Hyde Park MA showed a decline in the number of single family homes and condiminiums sold compared with last month. The listing price versus the sales price remained pretty consistent with the year to date; sellers continue to receive an average of 97-98% of the property’s list price. Homes are staying on the market about half as long as this same time last year, as inventory continues to be 39% lower than last year. Sellers, if you’re looking to sell in Hyde Park, MA, the buyers are definitely out there looking for something good to buy. Buyers, if you see something you like, get in the market sooner rather than later-if you wait, it may be gone.
